Inventory

Summary

Structures has a function that is tied to the Shedbuilder. One of the options to 'checkout' with is an 'Inventory Order.'

Inventory sheds are sheds that are available to purchase directly off a lot at a Dealership.

  • These sheds are already built.

This functionality is heavily tied into the Order Admin system as well.

Locations

Navigate from JDM Structures to the 'Locations' button in the header.

Select the 'Locations' button.

Enter an address, city, or zip code into the search bar.

Once the user has entered the desired location, the five closest locations will be displayed.

  • These locations are Dealerships stored on Outdoors Admin.

  • Locations have images associated with them.

    • If the image is incorrect or missing, refer to the Outdoors Admin. Each store has several images associated with it.

The user then can get more information about the store by pressing 'Store Info', 'Directions' or 'Website.'

  • These buttons information are all stored on the Outdoors Admin.

Inventory

Navigate from JDM Structures to the 'Locations' button in the header.

Select the 'Inventory' button.

Enter location information and press 'Search Sheds.'

A list of available sheds and the locations they are at will be returned.

  • These sheds are the 'Inventory Orders' made in Shedbuilder.

This order for the list will place in the following order: - Structures on Sale - JDM Structures Corporate, Kauffman Lawn Furniture, and JDM Outdoors of Mt. Eaton - Inventory based on Zip Code proxmity

The available sheds will be listed, and users can sort and filter by several fields:

  • Sort by Width

  • Sort by Price

  • Filter by Price range

  • Filter by Location

  • Filter by Model

Order Admin stores information about the shed and its specifics:

  • Model Name and Size

  • Siding

  • Roof type

  • Location

  • Price

  • Shed Image

Users can then reserve the shed through a contact form.

  • Customers will be contacted by JDM to help complete the purchase.

For a Shed to appear in JDM Structures Shed Search, these are the requirements.

Create an Inventory Shed assigned to a Structures location

  • Create a shed in Shedbuilder, enter Postal Code in the top left, click Inventory Order button, approve Project Name and click Save

  • Click Open In Admin button at the top to open Order Admin

  • In Order Admin, click on Inventory in the Shedbuilder area to the left

  • Find the Shed you just created and click the View button to open manage the order.
  • In Manage Order, click the Update Status button. One of the options here is Select the Inventory Location. Click the pulldown and select the Structures location you want the Shed to be assigned to. Click the Update button.

Structures location must be Published

The Structures location that the Shed is assigned to needs to be Published in Outdoors Admin

  • On Outdoors Admin, click the Stores (House Icon) button on the left to display the Stores options
  • Click Stores to bring up the Stores List
  • Find the Structures location of interest, click View to manage the store
  • On the Store manage store screen, click the Edit button
  • Towards the top is a Publish? pulldown. Select the Yes opion. Click Submit at the bottom

Store must be set as a Structures site

The store that the Shed is assigned to needs to be set as a Structures site in Outdoors Admin

  • On Outdoors Admin, click the Stores (House Icon) button on the left to display the Stores options
  • Click Stores to bring up the Stores List
  • Find the Structures location of interest, click View to manage the store
  • On the Store manage store screen, click the Edit button
  • Towards the middle is a Sites section containg what sites the store can be associated as. Make sure Structures is selected and highlighted. You can also shift-click or control-click more than one site. Click Submit at the bottom

Relevant notes:

  • Shed's only show up within a 30 Mile Radius from the Postal Code
  • JDM Structures sorts inventory as follows: Sales inventory > JDM Outdoors of Mt. Eaton / Kauffman Lawn Furniture / JDM Structures Corporates inventory > Rest of the inventory.
  • Inventory Reserved - Any Shed set as Inventory Reserved marks it as not for sale. This effectively delists the inventory from any non-admin view.
