Users and Roles

Users

The 'User List' is every user that has created an account on any JDM site.

New accounts can be created from any login screen, but settings for the account are set in this Admin.

An administrator can do several actions for a user account:

  • Send a Password Reset.

  • Assign User Permissions.

  • Set a Store Location.

  • Set Viewable Order Locations.

  • Set Viewable Inventory Locations.

  • Set a Profile Picture.

  • Set a Bio.

  • Set a BC Code.

Permissions

The Permissions entries in the Admin do not have anything to modify in the admin. The permissions themselves and their settings are hard coded.

  • The entries are to assign them to users here in this admin.

  • The Permissions are set. Do not touch them. We have refined them to their status after much back and forth with JDM.

Products

Products

Every product available on the Outdoors store is created and stored in this menu.

Administrators can take several actions from the top menu:

  • Download the price sheet.

  • Import Pricing for the products.

  • Create a new product.

The menu for each product contains several sections that need information for the Product to function properly in the store:

  • Product - Product information.

  • Product Add-Ons - Assigns any products as an add on.

  • Product Categories - Set the category the product is a part of.

  • Product Attributes - Assign any attributes that can be modified in the store.

  • Product Images - Set the images used for color assignment.

Adding Images to a Product

  1. Click add image above ‘Product Images’ on Product Page
  2. Enter the appropriate values – This is a multi step process:
    • Identify if the image requires layers
    • Identify if the image is the default image (and the correspondize size will need to be the default as well)
    • Identify the size of image should target
    • Upload the necessary image and click 'Done'
    • Verify the image by pressing edit and make sure it is pointing to the correct size (in this case, you will need to click view-edit on the existing image and assign it to the correct size as well)
  3. Click View on the image you just uploaded on the Product Page
  4. Scroll down and Click Add above Product Image Layers
  5. Select the Tint Color and Image – repeat this for both color layers if necessary. Make sure the order of the base image and layers matches other products.

Attributes

Each component that a product can receive is determined here.

The attribute is broken down into 4 lists:

  • Color 1

  • Color 2

  • Fabric

  • Size

Depending on the product, these attributes will be made available.

Viewing the 'Attribute' shows information about the attribute. Each contains a list for the following:

  • Value Categories

  • Values

These lists vary from Attribute to Attribute.

Categories

Collections and Categories are ways that products on JDM Outdoors are organized.

Categories are a method of grouping products that are similar in function. Each product in the category has a similar purpose.

  • Categories will have subcategories to further sort products.

  • Products can appear in more than one category. It is the same product; the listing is simply duplicated to another category.

Creating or Modifying a 'Category' has only a few fields for the user to adjust:

  • Name - Name of the Category.

  • Parent Category - If the Category is a subcategory, this is how it is assigned.

  • Collection Type - What type of collection the category is associated with.

  • Description - Description of the Category.

Collections

Collections and Categories are ways that products on JDM Outdoors are organized.

Collections are product lines in JDM Outdoors.

  • Collections have a sub collection to further sort each product.

Creating or Modifying a Collection has a few fields to enter.

  • Make sure each field is correct, or products may appear in the wrong location.

    • Collection Type

    • Heading - The title of the collection.

    • Show Collection - Is this collection visible on JDM Outdoors.

    • Body - The body text of the Collection.

    • Parent Collection - If the collection is a sub collection, this is how it is denoted.

Children Collections are all the collections that are associated with the collection.

Promo Codes

Promo Codes need a string and a description to display when checking out.

  • Code Name

  • Description

The Promo Code can have a date range applied to it.

It can be set to combinable with other promo codes.

The promo code can be toggled between a fixed and percentage off. Doing so changes the UI appropriately.

A Promo Code needs to be published to allow it to be valid on JDM Outdoors.

Test Promo Codes

Here is a list of available test Promo Codes (All are combinable unless stated): - FIXED50OFF: $50 off of total

  • FIXED50OFFNC: $50 off of total | Not combinable

  • NOTAXTEST: Removes tax on order

  • 10PEROFF: 10% off of total

Stores

Regions

Regions are a collection of zip codes that all share distance and pricing information.

A Region only stores tax information. Anything that returns tax amounts is controlled from this section of the Outdoors Admin.

  • Each entry in a region is comprised of 3 things:

    • Postal Code

    • Tax Rate

    • Municipal Rate

Each entry needs a Postal Code and a tax rate, but municipal rate is not required.

The Municipal rate is an addition to the Tax Rate whenever it is added.

Stores

A Store is a location that offers either Sheds, Structures or Outdoors furniture.

When a user enters an address into Structures to find a dealership or look at inventory, this is how those sites find the closest stores.

Most of the information is related to an address.

  • Additional information for Latitude and Longitude must be entered for accuracy.

Stores also need to have information entered for pricing.

  • Store Type

  • Region

The 'Store' also needs to be set for either Outdoors or Structures.

Users can enter information about the store as well:

  • Website URL

  • Google URL

  • Facebook URL

  • Review URL

  • Store Hours

    • Each store can have unique open hours
  • Logo

  • Banner Image

  • Store Information
