Choose a Shed

Selection Process

Info

This applies to Bosman as well.

note: All JDM sites use the JDM Identity server and share login information.

Click the Start Building button on the Shedbuilder Home Page.

Series Selection Screen: Choose Shed Series

  • The main page for choosing a shed base displays the different shed Models, grouped under their respective Series.

  • Clicking the 'View All' button selects the shed series without the user specifying a shed Model.

  • Clicking on a specific model selects both, the shed series and the shed Model.

  • Choosing a shed series will take the user to the Model/Size screen. If the user specified a specific Model, that Model will already be selected.

  • If the user did not specify a Model, then the first model in the series list will be selected by default.

  • To choose a Model from a different series, click on the 'Series' button in the header to return to the series selection screen.

Choose Your Model

  • On the Model select screen, choose which desired Model by clicking select under the Model image, in the carousel.

Select a Siding

  • Select desired siding type.

  • If no option is chosen, SmartSide is the default choice.

Select a Size

  • Select the length and width of the shed.

Select Height

  • Select one of these size options to allow for additional height to be added to the shed's walls.

Select a Build Type

  • Selecting the Build type determines how the model will arrive at the customer's desired location.

  • Build type availability is determined by the flags set in the Shedbulder Admin Price Sets. Users can select any build type on the Model/Size screen, but will get an error if they enter an invalid zip code in the pricing panel.

  • This option can be changed during checkout, provided the build type is available in the zip code provided.

  • Some build types are only available in certain siding, wall height, pitch, length, and width combinations. The builder color codes and update the UI under ‘Select a Size’ to communicate this. If a Model/size can be both, the Builder sets the shed to factory built by default.

  • The 'Kit' build type is available for JDM and Salesperson permissions. No customer can checkout with a Kit.

  • The user has the chance to change this at checkout if both are available.

Select Roof Pitch

  • Adjusting the Roof Pitch changes what 'Build Types' are available.

Select Code Package

Code packages are sets of documentation that are used to provide to local municipalities in order to ensure that a structure is in compliance with local building codes. The specifics of a customers municipalites may require more comprehensive drawings. It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that a JDM shed is in compliance.
