Purchase a Shed

Checkout

Checkout Process

There are several ways to checkout.

From the builder, the checkout process can be initiated in one of two ways:

  • By pressing the 'Checkout' button on the Pricing Panel.

  • By pressing on the 'Price Panel', users have access to the 'Product Summary' popup panel. Users can checkout by pressing 'Checkout' from here.

If checkout does not begin, there are several possible reasons:

  • If no zip code has been entered, checkout cannot begin.

  • The Shed has not been saved. The builder will prompt the user to give the shed a name and save it. If the user has saved the shed, the builder will check for changes and save the current configuration before moving to checkout.

  • If there is a yellow warning symbol, there is a component of the shed that is required but is missing. Usually, this means there is no access to the interior of the shed.

  • Adding a door will fix the issue.

During checkout, promo codes can be added as well.

Customers can purchase their shed in multiple installments:

  • Buy outright

  • Financing

  • Rent to Own

Customers also have multiple options on how to pay for the product:

  • Credit Card

  • Check or Money Order

  • Credit Card and Check/M.O.

When checking out with a credit card, a popup window will appear with an itemized list of everything on the shed.

  • Chargelogic requires part numbers for every option and shed on an order. It will be listed here as well.

Checkout is disabled for shed orders that are older than 1 year. The checkout buttons are hidden and checkout is disabled through the API.

Note

There is a hardcoded message shown to the user, "Quote expired: Quotes are not valid after one year." If the expiration changes to no longer be one year, we should change this message everywhere it occurs.

Quoting

Salesperson permissions only.

Creates order in the status of ‘Quoted’ in the Order Admin.

Quotes allow potential customers to customize a shed and send the info to JDM sales without having to check out.

Inventory Order

This is for JDM Admin Users Only.

Inventory Orders are sheds that already exist and are ready to be sold at a JDM Dealership.

Inventory sheds will display in the Order Admin List View.

When first created – Inventory order status is set to Inventory Pending.

Once Order Entry team begins construction of the inventory shed, they move the status to Inventory WIP. When the shed has completed construction, they will change the status to Inventory.

Inventory Sheds use a location property to identify where the physical shed is located.

  • This must be set when changing the status to Inventory.

Express delivery is available as an option only for inventory orders. To be eligible for express delivery, the signed-in user must be a dealer or JDM user and the price set must have an express delivery charge amount defined. Non-inventory orders are not eligible for express delivery.

Drawings

Drawings are a set of PDF that are generated. They are used to display structural drawings of the shed, along with Detail Drawings for certain sections of the shed.

Drawings will produce the following pages:

  • Each truss that the configuration contains.

  • A layout of each Wall.

  • The Floor Plan.

  • Typical Drawings: These are a series of pre rendered drawings that showcase typical construction configurations used by JDM.
